What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means readable colour contrast, a sensible heading structure, text alternatives for images, forms with proper labels, and pages that work with a keyboard alone.

What we have done

Headings follow a single logical order on every page. Form fields carry visible labels. Icons include text alternatives, and decorative graphics are marked as such. Interactive elements respond to keyboard focus as well as to a mouse. Content that relies on hover has a text equivalent elsewhere on the page.

Where we know we fall short

The career map on the About page relies on hovering to reveal detail, which does not work on touch devices. The same information is available in full in the written timeline directly beneath it, and the map is hidden on phones for that reason. We would rather tell you this than claim the site is perfect.
